This could be you!!

Welcome

Hello Spinners!!

Thanks so much for checking out our new blog. What we would like to do is to open up discussion about Jenny's SPIN classes at the Rec Center at the UA. Jenny tries to keep things interesting with new profiles, music that you like, etc, but would really like your input on how to make the class better and to get you more involved in your workout. :)

So please feel free to post song suggestions, what type of ride you would like to see in upcoming weeks or any helpful tips for other riders or exercise enthusiasts. Jenny will try to post some interesting information regarding other fitness and nutrition news. She will also post some suggestions for other classes at the Rec to help you cross train and get in better shape or to accomplish some of your other fitness goals.

Thanks so much for participating, hope that we can make this a dynamic community that will benefit all!

Song Suggestions

Please post songs you would like to hear in class or songs that you think would be fun to ride to. Make sure to post song title and artist and Jenny will do her best to incorporate it into a ride. I'll give you a shoutout during class if I use your song. :)

  1. I love to ride to anything by Shakira or Beyonce! Listening to such strong women while working out definitely motivates me :)

  2. I think Move Bitch, by Luda has some deep messages that I can really relate to. Shake ya Ass by Mystikal reminds me of the importance of showing them boys what I'm workin wit'.

Baby Got Back by Sir Mix a Lot reminds me of what I can achieve if I put my mind to it. And the stories in Kanye's New Work Out Plan are just plain inspirational!

When the class is getting tired, I think it would be great if you could put on Promiscous Girl by Nelly Furtado to make me feel better about myself and cheer me up. Thanks Jenny!

  4. Hey Jenny,

Check out Justice for some good techno. Their album I like the most is titled with the picture of a cross (no words, just the cross), and it pretty good stuff...not religious or anything, but great beats. I listen to it a lot when I ride outdoors. Also, LCD Soundsystem is alright - a bit lighter than Justice, but still good. Lastly, I have gotten into Santigold and Girl Talk lately for running and cycling...could have some good stuff in there, as well as 808's and Heartbreaks by Kanye West - especially the song Amazin'.
